Actor/Supermodel Sam Sarpong prepares for the next level of his career Super Stardom Actor/Supermodel/Host/Rapper Sam Sarpong is definitely one of the busiest men in show business this summer. When we were asked to shadow Sam for a possible feature story we had no idea what hard work meant until we spent 24 hours with Sarpong. Sam has appeared in over 60 films including the Cannes Film Festival

“Favorite Picks” “Nailed”, Warner Bros. “Love Don’t Cost a Thing”, Disney’s “Keeping Up With The Steins” and MTV’s “Carmen: The Hip Hopera”. Most recently, Sarpong starred in the horror film “Farmhouse” with Kelly Hu, and “The House that Jack Built” with Joe Mantenga. What seems to be rolling off all the movie critics tongues nowadays is Sam’s acclaimed best work in the award winning film “Anchor Baby”, which also recently screened at the Cannes Film Festival.

The film has already won eight awards at various film festivals worldwide including ‘Best Film’ at 2010’s Harlem International Film Festival.” Anchor Baby” will screen tonight as the kickoff film for the New York International Film Festival in Los Angeles. The festival runs from the 21st thru the 24th at Raleigh Studios. This has been one busy summer for Sarpong. He was recently named the spokesperson for the ‘American Vintage’ clothing chain. He will also star in French designer Jean Philippe’s fall campaign. Sarpong first made a name for himself in the fashion industry by being the face of Tommy Hilfiger for six years and modeling for a variety of other fashion savvy designers such as Louis Vuitton, Levi’s, and Ben Sherman.

Sarpong is currently working with designer Sascha Gerecht and designing his own limited edition T Shirt for “Rockstars and Angels” Clothing line. The T Shirt will hit stores this summer. TMZ weren’t the only ones on Sarpong’s toes throughout the day. As we followed Sam on set and watched his performance in the film “No Weapons Formed against Us’ co starring Tiny Lister, we couldn’t help but be amazed by Sarpongs’ dedication and raw talent. We also attended an LA Sparks Basketball game, whom he is hosting a documentary for this season on the Africa Channel. If that wasn’t already a full day, after the game we headed to the recording studio with Sarpong (also know n as “Future” when in music mode) to watch him put finishing touches on his album, “Muzik of tha Future” which will be out this fall.

His most recent single, “Fire”, is currently on the radio and is available on I Tunes. Sam also found time this summer to perform at the Power 106 High School Grad Night. In addition to that he is currently rehearsing for his European Tour starting in London in late August. When we asked Sam about all his current projects his eyes lit up as he discussed another film that he is shooting called “Trigger” directed by Matt Sinnreich, producer of “The Kids are Alright” and “Ledge Fame”. “I am really excited about this film. We have a great cast, an Oscar winning Director of Photography and one of the best scripts that I have read in a long time.” Not to mention Sarpong’s collaboration with Dream Rill Studios this summer to shoot “Love at first sight”, his anticipated work with 50 cent and Meg Ryan in the film “Lives of the Saints”, Sarpong will also be expressing his managerial skills in film “4bidden” starring Rochelle Aytes and Eric Roberts

( Sarpong plays the manager of the girl group) as the summer comes to an end. Shooting four movies this summer, putting the finishing touches on his album, and promoting “Anchor Baby” we are sure that Sarpong is set to be one of next year’s biggest stars.
